Apple releases first preview of animated “Central Park”: originally planned for release at SXSW

On Tuesday, Apple shared a trailer for the animated series Central Park, which is expected to premiere on Apple TV On May 29, according tomedia. The premiere will air three episodes at a time, followed by one episode per week.

Created by Loren Bouchard, creator of Bob’s Burgers, “Central Park” is a musical comedy that tells the story of a family’s adventures of living and working in a city park in the same name and ultimately saving the world.

In 2018, the Cupertino-based tech giant signed with Bouchard and 20th Century Fox Television for the first time. The company has booked 26 episodes, which will air in two seasons.

“Central Park” includes Josh Gad, Leslie Odom Jr., Titus Burgess, Kristen Bell, Stanley Tucci, Daveed Diggs and Kathryn Hahn. In addition to Bouchard, Nora Smith of Bob’s Burger Shop will also be involved in the writing and production of the new animation.

Initially, Apple planned to release Central Park for the first time at this year’s SXSW, but has now opted out of the event because of concerns about the new crown outbreak. In fact, SXSW has since announced that the event will be cancelled.
