There’s evidence that Microsoft is developing a new Surface product based on AMD processors

Microsoft surprised everyone recently by releasing the AMD-blown Surface Laptop 3. But users love the Intel processors built into notebook products far more than AMD processors, leading to the perception that Microsoft’s hand-in-hand with AMD may be just a try, but today’s running data shows that Microsoft is developing a new AMD-based Surface product.

Microsoft may not be giving up its AMD processor’s Surface device, according to a recent tweet from developer Jose Fajardo, but it may also release a new Surface product based on the Ryzen 5 4500U processor, which is based on the Renoir architecture.

The Ryzen 5 4500U processor was designed for a lightweight laptop, and for this type of notebook product, the processor is also considered to be better than the Ice Lake Intel Core i7-1065G7 processor, but we have to wait for the official release to learn more.

It is not known which Surface product the upcoming Ryzen 5 4500U processor will support. However, Microsoft is likely to introduce the new AMD chip to the upcoming Surface Laptop 4.
