Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg interviewed Dr. Anthony Fauci, a prominent Infectious Diseases expert in the United States, on Thursday, local time, local media reported. Zuckerberg asked Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, who heads the epidemic — from how the virus affects young people to vaccine development.
The 40-minute interview was broadcast live on Facebook. The interview came on the same day that Han Zuckerberg Initiative, a charity run by the Zuckerbergs, announced that it was working with California to improve its new coronavirus detection capabilities in the San Francisco Bay Area.
In addition, Facebook has launched a new Coronavirus Information Center, which will be displayed at the top of the user’s News Feeds. As conspiracy theories and scams about the virus continue to spread, this feature may help people get more accurate information.
