Microsoft is expected to announce a successor to the Surface Go soon, and although the company has made no commitments, previous leaks confirm that a successor to surface Go is under development. Back in February, we reported the first leak involving Surface Go 2, and now bloggers @_rogame reveal edging specifications for the device.
Surface Go 2 will feature an Intel m3-8100Y CPU with 1.10GHz@1.70GHz and an Intel Pentium 4425Y CPU with 8GB of memory and an Intel nuclear UHD 615 with a built-in 256GB SSD, while the Pentium 425Y model will be equipped with 128GB SSD.
Pentium 4425Y is a relatively new processor, but m3 has been around for nearly two years. However, pentium 4425Y scored only 1089 points in 3D Mark, while m3 scored 1380. Note that Surface Go is an entry-level laptop, and if Microsoft keeps the price at around $399, go 2 will remain competitive in the entry-level laptop market.
