At the CES 2020 show earlier this year, Intel officially announced the next generation of mobile platform, codenamed Tiger Lake, which will be officially released later this year and will be included in the 11th-generation Core series without incident. In fact, Tiger Lake has been exposed in various test databases for a long time, and recently saw a new product in SiSoftware, the specifications seem very close to the final version.

The new U comes with four core eight threads and a 12MB three-stage cache, which is 50% larger than the current Tenth Core, with a base frequency of 2.7GHz and a maximum frequency of 4.3GHz.

The frequency is encouraging enough to show that 10nm can support a higher frequency, after all, the current 10nm Ice Lake Tenth Generation Core’s top model, the i7-1065G7, is only 1.3-3.9GHz.

The frequency goes up, and with the new architecture, the performance is naturally impressive, with multimedia performance reaching 401.96Mp/s (megapixels per second), which is more than the performance of the nine-generation Core high-performance i5-9400H.

The i5-9400H is also a four-core, eight-threaded, high-performance version of the 45W thermal design power consumption, with a frequency of 2.5-4.3GHz, although the third-level cache is slightly less than 8MB.
