Tesla has tested positive for the new corona virus for two of its employees, according to an internal email released today. Tesla said the two employees had been working at home for about two weeks and had not shown any symptoms while working in the office.
Previously, Tesla had not disclosed that any of its employees had contracted the new coronavirus. Tesla CEO Elon Musk also told employees last week that none of its 56,000 employees tested positive
Laurie Shelby, Tesla’s head of environment and security, said in an email to employees today that two Tesla employees tested positive for the new coronavirus.
The email did not say which department the two employees worked in or the role they played, but this is the first time Tesla has confirmed that an employee has been infected with the new corona virus.
