AMD Ryzen’s product matrix is now getting fuller, and on Geekbench, netizens accidentally discovered a first-time AMD Ryzen 7 3700C device. Bizarrely, the device runs Android 9, matching 8GB of memory, produced by Google. The processor is also fun, with 4-core 8 threads, a main frequency of 2.3GHz, and an integrated Vega GPU.
The sharp A rice points out that the processor ID corresponds to the 12nm Picasso (Zen plus), in other words, the Ryzen 7 3700C and the Ryzen 7 3700U seem to be the same thing.
There is speculation that the processor is custom-made by AMD specifically for Google Chromebooks, so running Android 9 is also explained.
Comparing the desktop 8 core 16 thread, 7nm Ryzen 7 3700X, Ryzen 7 3700C in the single-threaded and multi-threaded running score score is much behind, sitting on its performance level.
Of course, x86 is a complex instruction set after all, even if optimized, supporting an Android phone or tablet is still difficult to deal with power consumption problems, so we do not have to have other immature ideas.
