Huawei regains IEEE editorial authority

Earlier, IEEE said it had taken the initiative to remove Huawei’s editorial authority for contributions from its subsidiary employees in order to avoid legal risks and publicly requested official clarification. A day later, IEEE was quickly confirmed, and a press release indicated that the U.S. Department of Commerce’s export controls against Huawei were not covered by IEEE’s publishing activities, so they reinstated editorial rights for Employees of Huawei and its subsidiaries. For Huawei, their employees can continue to participate in IEEE reviews and editing, in part by maintaining their technical integration with the world.
