Mozilla starts pushing Firefox Preview 5.0 to support picture-in-picture features

Mozilla released a 5.0 version of Firefox Preview, an update that brings a series of new improvements, according to the release notes on GitHub.

The five new add-ons supported in this update include NoScript, HTTPS Everywhere, Privacy Badger, Dark Reader, and Search by Image. Also added to uBlock Origin, the first add-on to be introduced into emerging browsers. There is no doubt that Mozilla will expand the range of add-on options in the upcoming release, but this option will help achieve Firefox’s goal as a privacy-friendly browser.

Mozilla starts pushing Firefox Preview 5.0 to support picture-in-picture features

Picture-in-Picture is a feature introduced several times in the desktop version of Firefox, a simple feature that lets you pop up video content so you can continue to watch videos without stopping to browse the web. The developer also fixed a media play bug that caused the app to crash when returning full-screen YouTube videos from the home screen.

The new update was released to GitHub earlier today. According to Google Play, Firefox Preview 4.3.0 is still the latest version that end users can use. If you already have the app installed, keep an eye out for the update tips you’re providing.
