This week, HP just released a new set of Omen desktops and monitors as part of its fall gamer-centric product line, media reported. Along with these new products, the manufacturer will also launch a new Omen logo. Looking ahead, this is a reasonable move. More than a decade ago, HP acquired VoodooPC and renamed it Omen.
Although the name was changed at the time, the logo remained as a tribute to the origins of the HP Omen series. However, since voodooPC was founded in 1991, times have changed, and this logo is sure to face the fate of being eliminated.
As shown in the image above, the new diamond logo retains the three-color gradient of the old logo, but at the same time completely removes the tribal mask to give it a more concise and minimalist look, as is the case with most modern logos seen on other brands of desk phones or smartphones today.
HP says the new design brings advances while modernizing the brand to better appeal to players.
Unfortunately, HP hasn’t said whether it will launch a new logo in the new Omen notebook.
