On May 5,media reported that Huawei was about to launch two mid-range phones, Huawei Y6p and Huawei Y5p, for foreign markets, and that a promotional video for both phones had appeared online. The report said a promotional video for Huawei’s Y6p, which may be an upgrade to Huawei’s Y6 and Y6s last year, had been posted on Huawei’s Cambodia Facebook page.
It is reported that Huawei Y6p uses a 6.3-inch drop screen with a resolution of 720×1600. The front-facing camera is 800 pixels. The rear three cameras, respectively, are 13 megapixel main lens, 5 megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, 2 megapixel depth-of-field camera, rear fingerprint unlock.
Equipped with MediaTek Helio P22, pre-installed EMUI 10’s Android 10 operating system, built-in 5000 mAh battery, comes in emerald green, Phantom Purple and Midnight Black.
Huawei’s Y6p 4GB plus 64GB costs $139.
Huawei Y5p appears to be a recently released revision of the Glory 9s. With a 5.45-inch IPS HD screen, a front-facing 5-megapixel camera and an 8-megapixel camera. It is equipped with Helio P22 processing and has storage of 2GB plus 32GB. With a 3020 mAh battery, it supports microSD card expansion and pre-installed EMUI 10.1’s Android 10 operating system.
At present, there is no exact launch date for Huawei Y6p and Huawei Y5p.
