After months of waiting, OnePlus finally unveiled its new flagship OnePlus8 and OnePlus 8 Pro last month. As always, the OnePlus features a top-of-the-line configuration with Qualcomm SnapDragon865 5G mobile platform, 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB UFS 3.0 flash memory, and 2K-90Hz Fluid AMOLED screen. However, like its previous flagship, the OnePlus8 series still features a 30W flash-charge scheme, slightly behind other handset makers.
Of course, the OnePlus won’t stop there, and in the future the flagship or will have a 65W charging scheme.
On May 7th it was reported that OnePlus was already working on a 65W fast charging solution, and its 65W fast charger had recently been certified as a safety for the T-VRRheinland.
As shown in the figure, the 65W fast charger models VCA7JA, WC1007A and S065AG support a maximum output of 6.5A at 10V. This new fast charge scheme may be available on the OnePlus8T Pro or OnePlus9 Pro.
The new 65W fast charging solution from OnePlus is based on OPPO’s 65W SuperVOOC 2.0, and OPPO’s 65W fast charging solution can fully charge 4,000 mAh batteries in 30 minutes, the report said.
