Along with the release of the second-generation Surface headset, Microsoft has also launched a companion Windows 10/Android/iOS app. For users, this gives them control over all settings without calling the Smart Voice Assistant. If you hate using Cortana, the Surface Audio app is an absolute need to be installed.
Don’t want to use Cortana to manage your Surface headset, but also add an app. Download address:
Whether it’s a first-generation/second-generation Surface headset, or A Surface Earbuds, you can easily adjust your settings with the Surface Audio App.
As shown in the screenshot, the app shows settings such as the power of your Surface headset, estimated battery life, firmware version, and volume and noise reduction levels.
The equalizer also offers eQ presets such as normal, classical, jazz, pop, rock and roll, although users can manually adjust high-low-frequency custom sliders.
In addition to Windows 10, the Surface Audio App also offers Android/iOS apps. The One-click disable Cortana wake word on the control, or change the voice prompt and aptX audio options.
Interestingly, the Surface Audio app can also be used to update software and change language settings.
Given microsoft’s long-established market for pCs, such as 2-in-1 devices, it’s also important to have Surface headsets with iPhones and Android mobile devices for a better experience.
Surface headsets are also known to be available to summon Google Assistant and Apple Siri’s Smart Voice Assistant when connected to Android and iOS devices.
