Apple said Wednesday that in addition to the new 16-inch MacBook Pro series, it will start selling new Mac Pro pro stations sometime next month, along with the Pro Display XDR display. The Mac Pro starts at $5999, while the 32-inch Pro Display XDR costs $4999 or a nanoetched version of $5999, and a specially treated coating provides better anti-glare features.
The Mac Pro, which will be launched in December, will be aimed at medical, video and science professionals and is expected to be shipped in bulk by the first quarter of 2020.
Apple unveiled its mac Pro in June, half a year before it went on sale, and its manufacturing capacity has raised concerns that supply chain sources said in June that the new Mac Pro would be made in China. In September, Apple announced that it would instead produce in Texas, and President Trump is expected to visit the facility this month, accompanied by Cook.
