Reported that LG Wing spinscreen phone can reveal half a side screen in deformed mode

After giving up digital naming, we’ve seen LG Velvet release the midrange smart machine. Although it is not clear the official name of the company’s next smartphone, the code name for it has been leaked. Media reported that LG Wing is a “T”-type holding of the rotating screen phone. In the deformation mode, the body up and down two parts can cross vertical, and exposed the other half of the side screen, for the user typing input and other use.

In recent years, smartphones have become larger and larger in screen size, but their form factors have been constrained by the concept of straight panels. Mobile devices don’t have much to do when you’re watching something.

Manufacturers such as Samsung and Huawei have already offered folding screen options for the Galaxy Fold/Z Flip and Mate X/Mate Xs. Microsoft and LG’s plan, on the other hand, managed to stack the two screens more simply and roughly together.

As shown in the image above, this design can also be confusing. But on the other hand, the secondary screen also opens up for users to not block the main screen view of the virtual keyboard and other control areas.

It is too early to tell whether LG Wing will move from concept to reality. But if the company can rule out all the difficulties, it could at least bring a hint of coolness to the dreary smartphone market.
