Google is bringing online courses to everyone in the U.S. and Canada for the Grow with Google growth program, media outlet The Verge reported. Launched in 2017, Grow with Google is a partnership with libraries, schools and other organizations to provide digital literacy workshops and one-on-one coaching. Google says it has partnered with more than 7,000 partner organizations to provide training to more than 4 million Americans.
These courses are usually conducted by partner organizations in person and focus on business skills, including job applications and resume production, as well as marketing and management. Google also hosts courses at the Grow with Google Learning Center in New York City. However, the company suspended face-to-face courses due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, so the company now offers free Grow with Google courses online. Anyone who takes the course can sign up for a free one-on-one coaching course. Although virtual, these web courses are still organized with Google’s partners.
Courses vary from place to place. Many of these courses use Google’s services extensively, including creating resumes in Google Docs, tracking applications in Google Sheets, and searching for job opportunities through Google Search.
You can sign up for a webinar on the Grow With google website.
