Apple is working on plans to bring company employees back to work under the new corollary, with some key employees returning to offices in some parts of the world, according to a report released Tuesday, media reported. Bloomberg quoted people familiar with the matter as saying Apple intends to return employees to office work in the coming months.
Initially, employees who can’t work remotely or have problems working from home will be able to return to Apple’s office, the first phase of a multi-phase program. It is understood that the first phase requires employees to work “regularly” in the office or during certain periods of uncertainty. Hardware developers may be among the first to return, the report said, as these projects were forced to shrink during the new corona virus outbreak.
The second phase will begin in July, when more Apple employees will return to the company’s factories, but the work at this stage will be irregular because of the different local regulations.
Some selected employees are allowed to continue on mission-critical tasks in Apple’s offices. The positions include data center managers, software engineers, Apple Webmarket employees and hardware testers, the report said.
