Musk, who founded and served as CEO of SpaceX, will carry out a mission to deliver astronauts to the International Space Station after successful commercial missions and delivering supplies to the International Space Station, the first of which is currently scheduled for May 27.
The transfer of astronauts on the mission will be completed by a vehicle provided by Tesla, musk’s CEO, and will be the Model X for the crew to be transported to the launch platform.
NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine has also released multiple photos of the transshipment vehicle, the Model X used to transport astronauts to the launch pad, with NASA logos on the roof and doors.
SpaceX is carrying two astronauts to the International Space Station on a NASA launch mission code-named Demo-2, with Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken on the mission.
Notably, in January, a SpaceX spokesman confirmed the first manned spacecraft launch mission, which will be carried by Model X to the launch pad, when the mission is expected to take place as soon as April.
