In previous reports, media have reported that Tesla has developed a new electrode, using the new electrode of the electric car battery, the life cycle range will be increased to 1 million miles, or 1.6 million kilometers. In the latest report, media said Tesla’s new battery would be first launched in China and was produced in partnership with the renowned battery supplier Ningde Era.
Tesla’s new electrode technology, which refers to single-crystal nickel-cobalt aluminum electrode technology, was developed by Tesla’s battery partner, Jeff Dahn of Dalhousie University, and two engineers on his team, and has filed for a patent.
Tesla’s patented single-crystal nickel-cobalt aluminum electrode technology, which describes the synthesis of nickel-cobalt aluminum electrodes, uses a battery with the new electrode to charge 4,000 times over its life cycle and is expected to have a range of more than 1 million miles over its life cycle.
Media say Tesla first launched the new battery in China because it plans to launch a model 3 with a new, lower-cost, longer-life battery in China, which is expected to bring the cost of an electric car to the same level as a fuel car by the end of this year or early next year.
Media also reported that Tesla’s launch of a million miles of batteries in the country, in partnership with the Ninder era, is expected to be announced on Tesla’s Battery Day, which will take place later this month.
