Media reported that CBS All Access is about to release another “Star Trek” series, telling the story of the much-loved Captain Parker, Number One, and science officer Spock. The official announcement: The background of Star Trek: Strange New World was set ten years before the original series (when Captain Kirk was not on the Enterprise” showed how they explored the perimeter of the Milky Way.”
Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn and Ethan Peck, who joined star Trek in the second season of Discovery, will star as Parker, Number One and Spock in Star Trek: Strange New World.
Akiva Goldsman, Alexzman and Jenny Lumet, the screenwriters and producers of Star Trek: Discovery and Star Trek: Piccard, are also working on new projects.
“My dream has come true (literally), and I’ve been hoping to get on the Bridge of the Aggressive since the early 1970s,” Akiva Goldsman said in a press release.
Unfortunately, CBS hasn’t revealed the exact timing of the new series. After all, film and television projects across the United States have been shelved as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic triggered by the new coronavirus.
Viewers may have to wait longer to see Star Trek: Strange New World on CBS All Access.
