Study: Men are more likely than women to leave masks at home during the new crown pandemic

According tomedia reports, during the new corona pneumonia epidemic, one thing to be sure of is: the mask is very good, everyone should wear a mask. Unfortunately, not everyone thinks so, and a new study shows that men tend to be more likely than women to leave masks at home. Based on a survey of nearly 2,500 men and women, it is clear that a larger proportion of men misunderstand the risks of neo-coronary pneumonia and are less willing to protect themselves and others.

When participants were asked whether they agreed with the words “wearing a mask is not cool” and “wearing a mask is shameful”, men were more likely than women to agree with.

Another interesting study suggests that men do not believe they are at greater risk of health if they end up with new coronary pneumonia. Data collected by scientists from around the world show that the opposite is true. The authors of the paper point out that men ignore the greater risk of infection and refuse to wear masks.

“We also found that men were more likely to exhibit negative emotions when wearing masks than women,” the researchers wrote. “And if wearing a mask becomes mandatory, men will still be ashamed and embarrassed if they may wear it.”
