Microsoft’s OneDrive app provides a very useful feature that lets you scan documents with your phone’s camera and then upload them to your storage space as PDF files. This feature works well, but users can only scan one page at a time unless you have a paid Microsoft 365 account. Now, Microsoft has announced that it is offering multi-page scanning to everyone, with up to 10 consecutive pages per document.
The reason for opening up this feature is that because of the COVID-19 pandemic, many people now work from home, few people can use office equipment such as printers and scanners as easily as the office, scan multi-page documents and save them as individual documents becomead a much-needed feature for many home-based workers, so Microsoft began providing multi-page scanning to all users who use OneDrive personal accounts.
To use this feature, simply open the OneDrive mobile app on your phone and tap the camera icon to scan physical documents, business cards, and whiteboards. When the scan is complete, OneDrive digitizes the image as a PDF file, and then you can save, share, or mark text, pictures, or hand-drawn and written.
