New code suggests Windows 10 on ARM devices can run 64-bit Windows apps

Windows 10 on ARM is expected to take it to the next level. There is evidence that Microsoft is expected to run 64-digit code on windows 10 on ARM notebooks. The ARM notebook currently using the WoW simulator is mainly running Win32 code on x64 computers, thus running Win32 code in ARM64 code. Unfortunately, 64-bit Windows applications don’t work on Windows 10 on ARM notebooks.

But according to a recentGitHub proposal discovered by Twitter user Longhorn, it means it can run the x64 code simulator on ARM64 devices. This architecture is called ARM64EC, or x64_64 for ARM64 devices. The proposal was released in March 2020 and was submitted by Kenny Kerr, a Microsoft Windows team engineer.
