9to5 Google reports that Asus has just released a new product for Google Meet video conferencing hardware for enterprise customers. The kit is understood to include a small computer, an external speaker, and optional webcam and touch screen. Clearly, Asuss hopes the new hardware will improve the experience for customers who rely on Google Meet for video conferencing.
Start with this mini PC called Google Meet Compute System. It features an Intel Core i7 processor, 128GB SSD and magnetic suction chassis that can be easily mounted to the supplied stand or other places out of sight.
Asus offers an introductory meeting suite for up to eight people, as well as a suite for small and medium-sized meetings. The camera has a 120-degree wide-angle field of view that supports 4X zoom without losing 720p image quality, complemented by a separate touch panel that manages calls.
In addition, the website lists a suite option for large meetings with Logitech PTZ Pro 2 webcams and support for up to 20 people. The PTZ Pro 2 is known to support 1080p video and 10X zoom, but as as as modeled.
