Samsung hopes to enter the ultra-high-end market by offering an upcoming version of the titanium version of its smartwatch, according to a new report bymedia GsmArena today. Media pointed out that the titanium version of Samsung’s smartwatch, which could be a successor to the Galaxy Watch, would be very expensive, but did not mention the specific price. The company has now offered a smartwatch made of aluminum and stainless steel, and if the news is true, the new watch will be Samsung’s first titanium-based case.
The benefits of titanium? More important than the look, it’s both extremely durable and lightweight, and with the titanium version, Samsung can also face up to Apple’s high-end Apple Watch version. The Apple Watch Series 5 is also available in titanium case versions for more than $6000.
Samsung’s new smartwatch product will feature 8GB of internal storage and upgrade the battery to 330mAh, according to previous news reports.
