Tesla recently adjusted the configuration of its popular all-electric sedan Model 3,media reported. Teslarati found that the Performance Upgrade Package incorporates the standard features of the car’s performance kit. The upgrade package will also bring other popular items such as brake upgrades, carbon fiber spoilers, suspension dedowns, aluminum pedals, track driving modes and more.
In addition, the Model 3 with a performance kit will receive the largest and fastest speed improvement. The upgrade package will increase the car’s top speed from 145mph to 162mph, although the change may be of little value to most drivers – because they still want to protect their driver’s license.
Model 3 is known to offer three versions: Standard, Long Life, and Performance Suite. Among them, the standard version uses a rear-drive configuration, 250 miles range, starting at $40,000;
Tesla’s model 3 performance kit may be designed to simplify car production. If fewer variants of model derivatives and options are made, the company should in theory be able to build these popular all-electric cars more easily and faster, which could help it deliver more than half a million cars by 2020.
