The Model S, which began delivery in the second quarter of 2012, was Tesla’s first electric vehicle to mass-produce and is still mass-produced. The Model S, which has been in production for nearly nine years, is currently available in two versions, the dual-motor all-wheel drive long-range version and the Performance high-performance version, both of which have a range of more than 500 km and a top speed of 250 km/h.
The Performance high-performance Model S has also recently been named one of the best modern high-powered cars in the world.
One of the best high-powered cars in modern times, the Performance High Performance Model S is Edmunds, a California-based online car information resource provider.
Edmunds has named 10 of the best modern high-powered cars, and the Tesla Performance High Performance Model S is the only electric car on the list, meaning it’s the best high-powered electric car in Edmunds’ eyes.
The Tesla Model S began delivery in the second quarter of 2012, and the higher-priced Model X began delivery in the third quarter of the following year. The Performance High Performance Model S has a range of 348 miles (560 kilometers) after a full charge, a top speed of 163 miles (262 kilometers), a 100-kilometer acceleration time of 2.5 seconds, and a pre-subsidy starting price of $99.99 million, compared with a starting price of $89,390 million before the domestic subsidy.
