Microsoft recently introduced a new feature in the Windows 10 May 2020 feature update that makes it easier for certain displays to use the system. This feature allows users to remove displays from the Windows desktop, meaning that the start menu, error messages, and desktop wallpapers are not displayed on the page.

In fact, these specialized display features apply only to certain applications, such as:

Fixed-function arcades/game consoles, e.g. cockpit/pilot/flying/military simulators, etc.

Medical imaging equipment with custom panels (e.g. grayscale displays for X-rays)

Dedicated video surveillance scenes (e.g. Avid Pro, etc.)

Monitor panel testing and validation (e.g. in the factory).
