The Republican National Committee and other Republican groups have filed a lawsuit against California in response to a new viral epidemic in which it stopped mailing absentee ballots to all voters before the 2020 election, according to earlier media reports.

According to CNN, Twitter said Monday it would tag and warn misleading tweets about the outbreak, as did Trump.

Since March, Twitter has announced that it will remove tweets related to the outbreak that “may pose a direct risk to people’s health or well-being.” The warning labels added from May 11 will focus on supplementing tweets that are not deleted but are still somewhat misleading.

Twitter said the tags would apply to all users who post misleading information, including heads of state.
