On May 27th Samsung began mass production of the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2, which is expected to go on sale in August. Sam Mobile, citing sources, said Samsung will begin mass-producing the Galaxy Fold 2, which will feature UTG technology, the second folding screen flagship samsung to use UTG technology after the Galaxy Z Flip.
The Ultra-Thin Glass, a slim glass technology, covers a layer of ultra-thin glass on the Galaxy Z Flip screen that folds up to 200,000 times without damage and for about five years if folded 100 times a day.
Samsung has previously said that most users upgrade their phones before the screen life expires, making the ultra-thin glass technology very useful to other collapsible smartphones.
On top of that, SamMobile says the Galaxy Fold 2 will cost $100 less than the Galaxy Fold and is expected to cost $1,880 (about 13,500 yuan).
Finally, the release date of the samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is likely to debut in August with the Galaxy Note 20 series and the Galaxy Tab S7 tablet.
It is worth noting that Samsung will initially mass-produce about 3 million Galaxy Fold 2 units, and it is expected that the folding-screen phone will increase in demand in the coming year.
