Italian scientist: New coronavirus is weakening New infected people with almost asymptomatic

Arnaldo Caruso, president of the Italian Virology Association and head of the microbiology department at Brescia Hospital, has successfully isolated a Sars-CoV-2 variant from the new coronavirus and observed that the virus is weakening, euronews reported. Caruso said that the current newly diagnosed infections are generally less viral, even if the virus carrier is high, most of them are asymptomatic patients.

Caruso reportedly noted that viruses isolated in the past few months typically attack all cells in two to three days, while the recently isolated virus estakes at least six days to attack all cells.

These highly weakened variants of the virus are likely to become a future trend for the new coronavirus, and the symptoms of infected people are very mild, with few obvious symptoms, and the virus’s toxicity and viral load will become very small, Caruso said.

Caruso stressed that it is not clear whether the variant is in popularity, how popular it is, or whether it is genetically different from other variants. But he can say for sure that the toxicity of the new coronavirus has now declined.

According to Caruso, all respiratory viruses are characterized by seasonal infections. With the arrival of late spring and early summer, the new coronavirus may tend to disappear, but the exact cause is not clear.

Mr Caruso said he was optimistic about the summer outbreak. When summer comes, perhaps the new coronavirus may disappear. However, this is just speculation, people must not let down their guard, continue to wear masks, maintain social security distance, and try to gradually return to a normal lifestyle.
