Amazon protests Defense Department's award of $10 billion contract to Microsoft: clear bias

The U.S. Department of Defense announced last month that it was awarding the 10-year contract to Microsoft, a major victory for the company. The contract, known as the Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure (JEDI), will provide the Pentagon with basic services and cloud-enabled cloud services, to the ability of artificial intelligence processing, machine learning, and task-critical workloads.

A U.S. defense official said it would not speculate on possible lawsuits. Microsoft did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
