BEIJING, June 1 (UPI) — Amazon said users of its UK website are sifting for racist insults in the list of Products When searching for Apple’s AirPods and other similar products, and Amazon is currently deleting the images, according tomedia reports.
“We are removing the images and taking action against those involved,” an Amazon spokesman told the media on Sunday. But she didn’t provide more information about “people involved.”
Screenshots and videos of the information are now widely circulating on Twitter, sparking outrage.
There is no longer a list of products with racist insults on Amazon.com in the UK. It is not clear how long the information has been on the site.
In April, several Amazon foreign sites, including the UK, were included in the “notorious market” report by us trade regulators. The report focuses on markets known for their problems of counterfeiting and piracy. Amazon vehemently opposed the report at the time, calling it “purely political.” (Wind)
