According tomedia reports, Tia Health is a digital health application, clinic and remote health service network development company that provides holistic health care for women. The company raised $24.275 billion in a new round of financing. The company said the financing would be used to support the expansion of its telemedicine and clinical services into new markets, although co-founder and CEO Carol Wittyne would not disclose the specific location of those markets.
The financing is understood to be led by new investors, Threshold Ventures, Acme Ventures (also a new investor) and former investors such as Define Homebrew, John Doer.
It is understood that the company started out as a tool for communication and acceptance of advice on sexual and sexual health-based sexual health, built on a text,, but Witte and its co-founder Felicity Yost are not going to stop there.
Last year, Tia opened its first physical clinic in New York, and now has a team of 15 doctors, physician assistants, registered nurses, therapists and other treatment providers. Witte points out that logistics staff are a factor in helping to reduce costs. According to them, they have reduced the cost of care by 40 per cent.
But she said Tia had ended the latest round of funding before New York’s “home isolation” took effect on March 27, and since then they have tried to shift their focus to telemedicine and virtual medicine. Two days later, Tia went online through the Remote Health Service. Witte says about half of the company’s patients have used their remote health platform. Witte points out that since Tia first appeared as an application in physical care services, it was natural to develop. Heart, the emergence of the new coronary pneumonia outbreak has accelerated the process. “In the last 90 days, nearly 50 percent of Tia’s 3,000 members have been involved in chats or videos,” Witte said.
The shift to telemedicine has also given Tia more money to serve. As regulations on health care coverage change, telemedicine has become a new way for people to make a lot of money within coverage, rather than being determined by the patient.
“This allows us to allow our patients to use their insurance for virtual care and pay for these services,” Witte said of regulatory reform.
Tia’s staff includes not only doctors and practicing nurses, but also licensed clinical therapists who provide mental health services to Tia patients.
“Before COVID, we looked at 3,000 patients in New York and asked what they wanted, and mental health was the service they needed most,” Witte said. We found a 400% increase in mental health-related information on my platform. We have launched behavioral health and clinical programs to complement our primary care. “
According to Witte, as Tia continues to expand its services to patients, the next challenge for women’s health is pregnancy planning and childbirth. To that end, the company sees itself as part of a campaign to restructure the healthcare industry. It is understood that the healthcare industry has been focused on treating specific diseases rather than patient groups with unique personal data and care needs.
The company plans to reopen its physical clinic in New York on June 1 and will expand into new markets within the year. The company said the expansion could involve working with companies or existing health care providers. At the same time, the company said it would continue to focus on its overall approach to women’s health.
