Sony has set up research and development centers in China, Japan, the United States, Germany and Belgium, and now has six research and development centers around the world with the establishment of the research and development center in Bangalore, India.
Bangalore is India’s fifth largest city and the number one city in India’s IT industry, known as India’s “Silicon Valley”. Sony has joined a number of manufacturers who have announced the establishment of a research and development center in Bangalore, which also shows the importance Sony attaches to technology.
