NetMarketShare Report May 2020: Windows 10 OPERATING system share picks up slightly

Netmarketshare has just released its Market Share Report for May 2020, and windows 10 has rebounded to 57.83%. The share of Windows 10 operating systems fell from 57.34 percent to 56 percent, driven by the growth in Linux share. However, Linux’s growth did not wane, from 1.36% in March to 2.87% in April and 3.17% in May.

MacOS share remains relatively stable, from 9.75 to 9.68%, but it is not yet known what contributed to the steady growth in Linux usage. (For example, is there an increase in the percentage of engineers using Linux at home?) )

On the browser side, Google Chrome’s share decreased slightly from 70% to 69.91%, Microsoft Edge from 7.76% to 7.86%, and Mozilla Firefox from 7.25% to 7.23%.
