Arca Noae is pleased to announce the launch of the fifth maintenance version of ArcaOS 5.0.5 for ArcaOS 5.0.0. ArcaOS 5.0.5 introduces support for xHCI (USB3) controllers, enabling it to be installed on more systems than ever before. For users who are updated rather than fully installed, even if your USB controller was previously not supported, you can now use a USB drive to start the installer and perform the update, even if you need to install or update it on a DVD disc. Key mice plugged into the USB3 connector will also work.
ArcaOS 5.0.5 includes more than 100 updates, hardenings, and fixes since the release of 5.0.4. If there is a problem with the previous version of ArcaOS installed on your hardware, these 5.0.5 fixes and updates may resolve these issues. If you want to install using a USB stick, USB drive mirroring can be created on any major operating system (Windows, Linux, MacOS, and OS/2, eComstation, and ArcaOS). Once created, plug the USB drive into your system to start the ArcaOS installer or upgrade program.
For a full list of updates, see the ArcaOS wiki. Make sure to check README. TXT because it contains key information that guarantees you better and faster use, as well as better system adjustments.
This update is included in your existing ArcaOS support and maintenance subscription at no cost. To download the new ISO image, simply visit the Customer Center page, select the order and subscription link on the left side of the navigation panel, and click on your ArcaOS license order. There, click the download link to request a new ISO image and wait for your notification message.
If your ArcaOS support and maintenance subscription has expired and you have missed the best window period for renewal, you will still be able to renew at a price below the price you purchased a new license.
