The theft of self-driving secrets by Cao Guangzhi, a former Tesla engineer, continues to fester, and the latest new model, the P7, has once again put Xiaopeng’s car at the centre of controversy. This incident is about the Xiaopeng P7 model introduction page, according to themedia Carbuzz shared a comparison screenshot can be seen and the Tesla Model S introduction page is very similar.
According to a screenshot taken on May 28 this year, the introduction page for the new P7 model is very similar to the Tesla Model S. The upper left corner is the name of the car manufacturer, and the upper and lower sections are related to the model and other related menu options. The point is that the “Model S” and “P7” are basically the same location, and the background effect is a new car that is exercised on the highway. Even the important parameter layouts and buttons at the bottom are the same.

In June 2014, Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced the opening of all of its patents. The UC browser co-founder realized that Tesla’s patent was likely to pry the electric car industry into the industry, so he began looking for a team to start Xiaopeng Motor Company in 2014.
It is reported that Xiaopeng car is the first company to really accept Tesla’s free use of its patents. However, Tesla does not actually have a real patent, but has promised not to prosecute anyone who uses its patents in good faith to make electric cars. Tesla has made it clear that it will enforce its intellectual property rights if it tries to copy its designs directly.
Although some of the features of the Xiaopeng P7 are similar to Tesla models, there are large differences in the vehicle as a whole, but from the official website screenshots it is difficult to deny copying the Tesla website.
