Baidu yesterday in a post on Weibo said: Recently, Harvard Medical School issued a paper, the traffic flow near the Wuhan Hospital  and search data of   “cough” and “diarrhea”  to draw conclusions about the virus, which is very far-fetched and not rigorous. In fact, the overall search volume of “cough” in Wuhan area coincides with the annual flu season, while the search volume of “diarrhea” has not changed significantly compared with previous years.

At the same time, Baidu index shows that around December 2019, “diarrhea” search volume also dropped slightly.

Finally, Baidu called for more scientific and rigorous references to Baidu data.
