After the Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X set off the trend of horizontal folding-screen smartphones, Motorola rekindled enthusiasm for flip-flops with the Moto Razr. Interestingly, Huawei is also considering a flip-flop folding screen smartphone, according to a recent patent.

The patent shows a device that folds the screen vertically, similar in structure to the recently released Moto Razr, as seen in images shared by techieWorld.
The patent was filed by Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. and was recently approved by Hague International Design System.
It contains existing data on international registration, renewal and modification, which is managed by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
It is not known when the device will be available.
