It is understood that most customers using HBO GO can now use HBO Max, which means that the HBO GO app is no longer necessary. The app will be deleted on July 31 and HBO GO will be available online until August 31.

HBO GO is HBO’s first streaming app, launched in 2010, to allow HBO subscribers to watch HBO’s TV shows and movies. In 2015, HBO launched its own monthly streaming service, HBO Now.

On May 27, HBO launched its latest streaming service, HBO Max. HBO Max has combined HBO’s content with Warner Bros., Turner TV’s shows and movies, and has produced classic movies and TV shows such as “Friends.” HBO Max also features original content, so overall, it offers more viewers than HBO Now and HBO GO.

More information about the differences between the two streaming services can be found on HBO’s website.
