Over the past few years, OPPO has been pushing the limits of fast charging, and it will take a new step forward. The technology company will launch SuperVOOC 3.0 with up to 80W of power in 2021, a source said on Weibo.
Currently, OPPO offers 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 on many phones, including Ace2, Find X2, and X2 Pro. The Realme X50 Pro implements the same technology under a different name – SuperDart Flash Charge. All of these devices can be filled with large batteries in approximately 30 minutes.
If the technology is finally released, the charging time from 0 to 100% may drop to about 20 minutes.
From 65W to 80W, it can be very difficult to add an additional 15W. However, if OPPO is able to deliver on its 80W charging promise, it can effectively set new standards for the industry.
