It’s only been two months since OnePlus launched the OnePlus 8 series, but the brand will launch its successor in the coming months, perhaps the OnePlus 8T. Last year’s T-Series brought a 90Hz refresh-enabled screen and a smaller Notch OnePlus 7T, and this year’s 8T is likely to bring faster charging speeds.
OnePlus is known to share resources with sister brand OPPO. The Warp fast charging technology used in OnePlus smartphones is the renamed OPPO VOOC charging.
OPPO’s 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 is the fastest commercial smartphone charging solution available today. With the launch of the OnePlus 8T series later this year, this solution may eventually appear on OnePlus’s smartphones.
Twitter users (via XDA developers) found strings referring to “Super Wrap Charger” (typical) and “65W Fast Charge” in the latest Android 10 and Android 11-based OxygenOS version of Engineering Mode.
The OnePlus is expected to feature a series dual core design that can be filled with 4000mAh in 30 minutes, a feature that should be seen in the OnePlus 8T, given that the OnePlus 8 Series does not have a dual-core design.
