With the official release of the Windows 10 May 2020 (20H1/Version 2004) feature update, Microsoft’s development focus has been on the upcoming 21H1 and 20H2 feature updates. As with the 19H2 feature update, the 20H2 feature update does not introduce many new features, primarily the optimization of background performance and stability.
Recently, Microsoft announced the introduction of a new naming method, using the Chromium-based Edge approach to name three development branch versions of Windows Insider, with Fast Ring renamed Dev Channel, And Slow Ring renamed Beta Channel and Release Preview Ring Rein edified as Release Channel.
Today Microsoft announced the release of a 20H2 version update, build 19042.330, for Beta Channel (formerly Slow Ring). This version contains fixes from KB4557957, which is installed by default on the new Version of the Edge browser based on Chromium.
