Screenovate to launch Windows 10 Universal Mobile Interoperability Tool

Before Microsoft aggressively rolled out the Windows 10’s own Your Phone app, Screenovate’s Dell Mobile Connect was the PC/mobile interoperability tool of choice for many users. Once installed, you can easily make calls, send text messages, transfer files, and view your phone’s screen on your computer. But with Dell’s exclusive agency contract expiring, the company appears to be bringing a generic version to Windows 10 users.

ALumia reported that Screenovate is in the process of launching a new product called Virtoo. Its functionality is no different from dell Mobile Connect, except that dell’s brand name is removed.

This means that we can implement hands-free calls on the PC side with Virtoo (using a computer microphone/speaker to pick up), send and receive text messages and MMS messages, receive notifications on the phone (system interaction), and retrieve contacts on the phone (then initiate voice calls or send text messages).

In addition, Virtoo can view the phone screen on the PC side, control it with a keyboard, mouse or touch screen, and easily drag and drop files between your phone and your computer.

Finally, ALumia says the application has not yet been officially launched. However, I believe it won’t be long before the matching Android client will meet you.
