Microsoft has completed the dismantling of Cortana, the digital assistant in its Windows 10 system, and now the development team is building it to add new features and functionality. The latest improvement is the new UI element, which, as ALumia notes, has released a new welcome screen and scrolling UI animation effects that are expected to appear in formal applications soon.
The new welcome screen brings a more relaxed and enjoyable animation, and the main UI also has a scroll button back to the bottom that encourages users to explore more apps while still easily returning to the home page.
Microsoft has been promoting Cortana in Windows 10, defining it as a working partner in the operating system – helping users save time, find what they need, and stay focused. Users can request Cortana to quickly check their schedules, contact people, set reminders, or add tasks to Microsoft To Do, and bing as Cortana’s optional connectivity service to find local information, get search results, and keep track of the latest news, weather, and financial information.
This new productivity-centric experience for customers in the United States can get an English version through an Update of Windows 10 2020. In the coming months, through regular app updates in the Microsoft Store, Microsoft plans to enhance this experience, support wake-up calls, provide more productivity features such as the emergence of related messages and documents, help users prepare for meetings, and expand support for international users.
