According tomedia reports, Microsoft’s Surface Duo is only a few weeks away from the release, and in line with this, Microsoft’s Your Phone app already has the ability to support the device. Zac Bowden, from WC, posted a screenshot on Twitter showing this.
The following two images, taken by ALumia, show whether the Your Phone app will reflect whether the phone is in dual-panel or single-screen mode.
There are rumors that Microsoft wants to launch The Surface Duo before the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is released. Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will be released on August 5.
The phone’s specifications were recently leaked, with the SnapDragon 855 SoC, 6GB of memory and 64/256GB of storage. Microsoft also added an 11-megapixel camera to the phone. The device will also feature two 5.6-inch AMOLED screens with a resolution of 1800 x 1350 and biometrics via a fingerprint reader. Microsoft also reportedly equipped the hardware with a 3460 mAh battery. The device will run Android 10 with Microsoft Launcher as the user interface, and Microsoft will reportedly update Android 11 shortly after its release.
Given that the phone’s specifications are a bit out of date and can’t really compete with today’s flagship devices, I hope Microsoft can set a “reasonable” price for the phone.
