Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 5G has been certified as Bluetooth SIG and appears to be close to being released. It follows reports that the phone could be released on August 5 along with the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Fold 2, with an expected release date of August 20. The Bluetooth SIG certification also shows several models of the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, indicating that it will be available with different carriers in the United States.
The SM-F707B models are said to be ready for AT?amp;T, while the SM-F707U is available to Sprint for T-Mobile, SM-F707U1 and SM-F707U_SPR. In addition, another model, the SM-F707W, is also said to be planning to launch in Canada.
The certification doesn’t reveal any information about the galaxy Z Flip 5G phone’s specifications and features, and recently it was rumoured that it might come with 256GB of internal storage and a Qualcomm SnapSnapdragon 865 chipset, while The Fold’s original adopted SnapDragon 855 plus SoC. It is also said to be equipped with a 3200mAh battery, which will support 15W fast charge.
Samsung is expected to reveal more about the device at an online Unpacked event in August.
