Rivian releases R1T electric pickup desert test video

Although Rivian had to postpone the official launch of its electric pickup R1T until 2021 because of the new crown outbreak, that didn’t stop the company’s engineers from bringing the prototype to the Arizona desert for some extreme testing,media reported. In the video, Rivian drives along dusty roads and rocky cliffs.

So far, all you know about R1T includes 400 miles of range, a 100-kilometer acceleration of about 3 seconds, and a wading depth of up to 3 feet. Each wheel is equipped with an electric motor, and the vehicle has a payload of 1,764 pounds and a towing force of 11,000 pounds.
