91Mobiles reports that Samsung is on track to launch an Android Go entry model to India. It’s probably called the Galaxy A01 Core, with an MT6739WW chipset and an HD plus display (resolution 720 x 1480) and a pre-installed Android 10 mobile operating system. The company has also recently passed the Bluetooth Alliance (SIG) certification and even found it on the Google Play console.
Judging by the list on the Google Play console, the Galaxy A01 Core is indeed an upcoming starter with a thicker lower-on-screen border. Integrated PowerVR GE 8100 GPU with MediaTek MT6739WW chipset, complemented by 1GB of RAM.
In terms of specifications, the Galaxy A01 Core is clearly a simplified version of the Galaxy A01 released last year. The latter comes with a 5.7-inch Infinity-V HD plus display, an octa-core processor, a 3000 mAh battery, and a 13MP rear dual camera.
On the software side, it is likely to be pre-installed with a Custom OneUI based on Android 10. Inheriting the Cady J2 Core’s mantle and becoming the latest member of Samsung’s family of entry-level smart trackers for Android Go.
While it is not yet known when the machine will be launched, the Galaxy A01 Core should not miss out on India, a major emerging market.
